The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX)

The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program offers high school students an opportunity to learn about the people and culture of the United States through international exchange, while attending a U.S. high school and living with a U.S. host family. The FLEX program is funded by the United States Government and aims to promote respect for cultural diversity, provide opportunities for personal development and engage in community service, as well as improve mutual understanding between our countries by allowing young citizens of Eurasia to have the opportunity to observe and experience the U.S. way of life for an academic year, as well as help teach Americans about their own countries and cultures. 

The FLEX program is administered in Azerbaijan by American Councils office. At present FLEX program in Azerbaijan is administered only for the last year high school students.

Youth Leadership Program with Azerbaijan

The program is designed for high school students to provide cultural understanding and gaining knowledge in a specific field in the U.S. Candidates should be high school students with intermediate level of English. Duration: 3 weeks. The program is administered by the USA Embassy in Azerbaijan.

The program promotes cultural and academic experiences as well as the opportunity for undergraduate students to pursue 1 semester study in the colleges and universities of the USA.

SUSI program for students

Intensive academic program that aims at providing a group of undergraduate student leaders with a deeper understanding of the United States and its political system.

American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) Scholarships

AUBG gives range of scholarships to international undergraduate students. Every applicant is automatically reviewed for any scholarship that he or she is eligible to receive. Scholarships based on academic merit are awarded based on the strength of the applicant’s high school performance and English language proficiency test scores. 73% of AUBG students receive some form of a scholarship.

Hungarian Government Scholarships for Foreign Students

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program was launched in 2013 by the Hungarian Government. The core mission of the program is to increase the number of foreign students in Hungary and to encourage Hungarian higher education institutions to attract top foreign students. In the academic year 2017/2018 approximately 4000 students can begin their studies in Hungary in the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum Program.

The Civil Society Scholar Award (CSSA)

The Civil Society Scholar Awards (CSSA) support international academic mobility to enable doctoral students and university faculty to access resources that enrich socially engaged research and critical scholarship in their home country or region.

Salzburg Medical Seminars

Salzburg Medical Seminars (SMS) - one week seminars for medical doctors with minimum three years of experience in different medical fields.

The seminars are taught by physicians from leading American hospitals and their affiliated medical schools and are directed to physicians practicing in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the former Soviet Union and other countries in transition.

Medical Observerships

The aim of the Medical Observership Program is to integrate SMS alumni into the international medical community by inviting them to spend up to 3 months, usually in one-month periods, at Austrian hospitals to improve their clinical skills. During their stay fellows are exposed to new operating techniques, treatment protocols and modern hospital management. They are able to establish long term collaborations with their Austrian colleagues in the form of ongoing studies between their respective institutions.

- provides grants to qualified foreign nationals to work at America’s most prestigious universities and other institutions of higher learning. The length of grants ranges from four to six months. The U.S. Department of State and IREX announce a program for outstanding international secondary-level school teachers to come to the U.S. for a professional development opportunity. The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program brings international teachers to the United States for a six-week program that offers academic seminars for professional development at a host university. Chinese Government Scholarships for International Students
 

Chinese Government Scholarship—Bilateral Program includes a full or partial scholarship established by MOE in accordance with educational exchange agreements or MOUs between Chinese government and governments of other countries, institutions, universities and international organizations.  It supports  doctoral programs, general scholar programs and senior scholar programs.    Full scholarship includes school fees, monthly allowance, one-off subsidies, insurance, etc while partial scholarship includes one or some items of the full scholarship items.
